Đậu hũ non rửa sạch, cắt thành từng miếng dày khoảng 2cm. Sau đó, dùng khuôn cắt để cắt bỏ 1 phần ở giữa miếng đậu.
Hành lá, ớt rửa sạch, cắt nhỏ. Trứng cút cho ra đĩa.
Làm nóng 2 muỗng canh dầu ăn trong chảo, cho đậu hũ non vào, chiên vàng giòn.
Tiếp theo, đập trứng cút vào bên trong miếng đậu, chiên chín. Thỉnh thoảng lật đều để đậu hũ không bị cháy.
Khi đậu hũ, trứng cút chín, giòn. Cho tiếp hành lá, ớt cùng gia vị 1 muỗng canh nước mắm, 1 muỗng canh nước tương, 1/2 muỗng cà phê tiêu, 1 muỗng cà phê hạt nêm, 1 muỗng canh đường trắng vào, nấu nhỏ lửa khoảng 5 phút.
