Please read this marvelous life changing book!
I knew nothing about Lisa Bevere nor ‘Without Rival...’ This book touched my heart so much that I not only read but put it on my audible and listened to help me before I fell asleep. This is a book that shows you your giants and that Jesus is in control of it all! Lisa gives you questions after every Chapter and even if you do t write it down, the questions stay in your head. The one man, besides Jesus and David, that I admire the most is Daniel. He knew the law and knew he couldn’t pray to his God, but he did! And that’s what we need to do as Christians in today’s world! If we don’t embrace Christ then we are no better than someone who knows nothing about The Lord!! I’m so happy I have the book on audible, because the enemy is always ready to strike and if the Word of God is in your ears, he may try attacking more BUT YOU have The Lord..and Lisa will give you the scriptures to back you up! Remember the devil was just a fallen angel..he KNOWS he is defeated at the Cross!! Praise the Lord!! Thank you Lisa! Beautiful & Captivating Read
Without Rival is incredibly encouraging and a fantastic book for females of all ages to read. It's empowering and a kind reminder of the truth - we have no rivals when it comes to Gods love. There is a place for every beautifully made individual.
one of my favorite books and the best i have read by lisa bevere.
we did this for a womens bible study that i lead with my mom and it was awesome. the women said they started to feel a greater sense of confidence and self esteem. competing with other women and struggling with jealousy is something that a lot of women are afraid to talk about. this book was very touching and hit on some great points.
Reclaim Your Identity as Daughter of the King
This is the first Lisa Bevere book I've read and I highly recommend it. She addresses some of the most common problems we women face from the world around it, including the comparison trap, body image criticisms, anxiety and general criticism and shows us how to reclaim our identity as daughters of the king, uniquely gifted. She also offers some interesting stories of women in the Bible to illustrate how Jesus empowers women, contrary to what many others have said.
Life-Changing self-worth truth!!!
In our insecure world where everyone is constantly bombarded with other people’s “highlight reels” on social media, this book is life-changing in helping its readers to truly believe that each one of us is a unique and precious creation of God, created for a specific purpose that no other person could ever duplicate. Lisa Bevere’s humble transparency about her own times of dealing with the same insecurities that I deal with somehow gives credibility and deep meaning to the truths she presents about being uniquely created and loved! I will surely read more of ber books, and give this one an eeeeaaasy 5-stars!!!
Best Book I’ve Read
This book, if you let it, will change everything in your heart. Especially with all that we deal with today that seems natural. This book I consider a weapon, I’ve read it 3 times and will continue to read it whenever comparison comes back to fight. I walked through this with a mentor and have never been the same since! And will now walk through it with a girl I’m mentoring. God is faithful and loving, and everything communicated through this book I hear His voice through. Thank you Lisa Bevere! Easily one of the best books I’ve read.
Empowering Book
It's the first time I've read a book by this author - and will definitely be reading more books of hers in the future. A chapter that I found very interesting was 'The Rivalry of Fear and Love'. This was an interesting and empowering leisurely read, and I'll definitely be getting myself a physical copy of this book at some stage.
Inspiring
This book has helped me to grow so much. Helped me to be more accepting of who I am. Caused me to become more open to what my desires and dreams are and see those as unique and part of what God intended me to be and become. It has helped me to think about the things I have heard while being a Christian which have just caused me to constantly feel defeated because I have used them to compare my life to what others say I should be.
Great book for Women of Faith
This book was very in depth and made me look inside and around myself to begin to see how I allowed myself to compare myself to other women and how this rival engrained itself into my thoughts,faith and action. I came away knowing that God loves me uniquely and that I have no Rival because I belong to God through the Saving Blood of Jesus Christ.
Inspiring!
Inspiring read. It was so good I didn't want to get to the last page. Most definitely a book worth reading if you are a woman who wants to walk in your purpose and celebrate other women as they do the same.
